Tyler grew up in western Colorado, in the sister towns of Cedaredge and Delta. Chasing his childhood passion, he studied aviation science at Utah Valley University. In 2014, at the age of 22, he packed his truck and headed for Alaska, seeking adventure. In 2017, God began to stir his heart toward village missions. Missions was something Tyler was not intending on pursuing, as his heart was adamantly set on serving in the U.S. Navy as an aviator after completing his degree. Slowly, over the next year, God began revealing new pieces of His will for Tyler’s life. This revelation culminated at Camp Nahshii 2018, where he received a vision of a mission aviation organization that catered to pastors and missionaries serving the villages of Alaska. Knowing that God's plan is always greater than our own, he laid down his own desires and committed to pursuing the vision that God gave him. Thus, Reach Aviation was born. Tyler is a credentialed minister with the Assemblies of God; he attended a missions school in northwest Montana, and he’s served in Colombia and Thailand.
